has one of the most advanced train system in the world. Train travel in Japan
brought us a lot of fun moments. You can enjoy the scenery along the coastal
line when you travelled from Sapporo to Otaru. You can also enjoy the autumn scenic
view along the journey from Osaka to Kyoto too.

Plan Early through Hyperdia
You can plan your way from home by checking your destination through Hyperdia, all of the instructions are
in English. If you aren't sure about which stations to drop off, you can always
compare your destination at Google Map or Here Map.
Japan Rail Pass
You can use Japan Rail Pass (JR
Pass) if you plan to travel frequently within a certain period of time.
It's considerably expensive compared to domestic flights but it definitely
worth it if you plan to use the train system because eventually multiple trip
tickets would cost you more than that. There are many types of JR Pass. If you
plan to use the pass only in West Japan (Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, etc), you can go
for JR West Pass.
Avoid the Queue
You don't have to queue for the tickets every time you travel.
You can make your ticket purchases all at one time once you activated your JR
Pass. You can reserve your seat at ticket counter too.
Ekiben
One
of the signature for Japan Train. You can get varieties of train foods
at train station or even in train. Just be reminded that the price difference
is huge as the train foods served like the flight meal.
Punctuality
During
my trip, there wasn't any delay for the train departure and arrival
time. There were only early arrivals, no any late departures. So, you can
be rest assured that you will reach on time. If you are so unlucky to have missed it in the first
place, don't worry as you still have your JR Pass. You can buy the next train ticket by using it without extra
cost.
Travelling
in Japan can be fun especially with their train system. We travelled from
Central Japan to West and North Japan without hassle. Simply Amazing!
