Experience Japan - Otaru Seafood Restaurant 澤崎水産海鮮食堂 - Must Eat

Today, I am going to introduce one fantastic restaurant in Otaru, Japan. It has been operating for over 40 years. The way I found this shop is a total jackpot, I never thought it is such a great restaurant that even late in the night, there are still people visiting this restaurant.
It was a drizzling raining night when we first visited Otaru, we were so cold and we couldn’t find a place to rest. We kept on walking and walking along the Otaru canal. It was below 5 degree that night, we were looking for place to have our dinner but we couldn’t think of any.
After a while, Zoez and I saw a buffet restaurant at first, then I asked, “How about this one?” She replied, “Err... No. We should find some local food instead of buffet”. So, we continued to explore the surrounding shop. It was almost 10 o’clock, we were so exhausted, luckily we found that there was a small shop around the corner still turning its light on and it was still packed with locals. So, we just walked in and asked for two seats. We were greeted with a smile by an Uncle who looks exactly like Master Roshi in Dragon Ball. As it was a small shop, he asked us to wait for a while before he can occupy us.
Throughout our observation, he has a lot of reviews and testimonials from all around the world posted on his wall. It was so touching to see a small shop filled with so much memories and laughter.
Besides that, most of the food pictures were posted on the wall as well. From there, our order was just easy as pointing to the dishes we want.
Mouth-watering humongous scallop
Broiled seafood platter
Seafood skewers
Ichiban! All of these were fresh and juicy. They were best of the best in town, I couldn’t imagine that I had missed the chance to taste all of these!
Even though this food journey was short, we were delighted with his hospitality and the freshness of seafood provided. For pricing wise, I think the price was fairly justified with the taste.
