Afternoon Tea @ The Chateau Bukit Tinggi

K knows that I always fancy a little cottage far away from the hustle and bustle of city life, so he brought me to The Chateau during Labour Day long weekend.

The exterior architecture made of gneiss stone which looks like a castle make The Chateau the perfect storybook travel destination. The picturesque castle sits high in the hills above the state of Pahang is surrounded by a vast forest with plants.

Bella Vue is a beautiful tea room put on by The Chateau Spa & Organic Wellness Resort in Bukit Tinggi, Pahang. I was impressed by the delicious afternoon tea amidst beautiful scenery. Absolutely loved the high tea served on a terrace overlooking beautiful mountains and valleys. We were served a three-tiered silver tray filled with finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, and an assortment of pastries and savouries. There’s nothing better than cuddling up with a cup of hot tea and a few delicious pastries.

To be totally honest, I'd gladly even sit in there without food just to admire the amazing interiors, but don't get me wrong, the tea room here does cakes exceptionally well so you certainly won’t be disappointed by the choice and quality of afternoon tea here. 

Not to mention their assortment of organic teas. The afternoon tea offered a selection of some of my favorite organic teas - We ordered Pink Rosebud Flower Tea and Green Tea. The flower tea offered an enchanting rosy aroma while organic green tea gave a crisp, light and refreshing taste.

One of my favourites (eating and sipping endless tea all afternoon can't be too tasking, can it?) For some reasons, I think that the scones are still not up to par but overall the service is excellent! The staff were all very attentive and professional with a great positive vibe. Absolutely loved the high tea served on a terrace overlooking beautiful mountains and valleys. Current afternoon tea price is RM120 nett which is inclusive of service tax and government tax.

A Fairytale Castle: every little girl's dream

After the treat, talk a walk in The Colmar – where you can see beautiful french-themed buildings with colourful buildings and have some instagrammable shots. This castle is straight out of a fairy tale. It is open to visitors daily.

When life gets tough, all we need is a perfect getaway to a relaxing travel destination.

The Chateau is the very place of perfect peace and tranquility. The food also doesn’t disappoint and although a little pricey, it’s certainly different from other afternoon teas around Kuala Lumpur due to the location.
