Tumblagooda Sandstone | Kalbarri

It takes a good five to six hours drive north of Perth to reach Kalbarri. We were not as ambitious as the others who drove straightaway North from Perth so we had a layover in Geraldton before departing to Kalbarri.
We arrived at the entrance at 7:30am, paid the entrance fee of AUD12 per vehicle and headed straight to the Nature’s Window. There are 14 public sites in Kalbarri National Park but tourists can only access four sites ( Nature’s Window, Z-Bend, West Loop and Meanarra Hill) during the Skywalk build. No doubt the drive was a bit long, the track to Nature's Window wasn't that long. It's quite accessible and the going was deceptively easy for a National Park trail.
The full loop walk will go for an extra 8km. If you plan to do the loop, there are some tips for you.
Leave early in the morning to avoid the crowds and midday heat.
Wear appropriate clothing, wear comfortable shoes and leave all your strippers and stilettos for the next destination.
Bring your hat/cap and shades for some cool photos.
Carry food and water to avoid dehydration. (Note that there is no food or water service in the park.)
Stay away from hungover backpackers!
Last but not least, DON’T forget your camera! You’ll definitely regret if you don’t.
The sun beats down mercilessly so it's easy to get heatstroke there. Take your time to complete the walk. Take multiple rest breaks to enjoy the beauty of nature.
Is there any view more picturesque than scenes through this window? It's amazing! I know I've said it again and again.
Many cliche shots can be taken here... I'm amazed by the beautiful sandstone. The rock formation and views are absolutely stunning!   It looks like I'm in Arizona or some of the National Parks in Utah.
Check out my 4K footage to see more beautiful attractions in Kalbarri. You will also find the infamous Pink Lake and the stunning coastal scenery inside!
You wouldn’t regret a visit to Kalbarri when you see the rivers start smiling at you!

Look at the dramatic landscapes here.
The whole area with sight of the gorges is simply breathtaking! I can sit there watching the raw beauty of Oz nature for hours. One day soon we will be back to explore the Murchison to see the dazzling wildflowers.
Despite limited public access to the park as there is on-going road works until July 2017, we managed to plan our trip according to the calendar to avoid any disappointment. Thought of giving up the trip as it was only opened THREE days in June and we thought we might not be able to make it from Perth. Fortunately, we changed our departure date just to fit Kalbarri into our trip. We were on cloud nine to have made it alas.
Note: The road works will be completed by July and is estimated to launch in August 2017.
There is so much more to explore in Kalbarri. Drive along the coastline and you will find Red Bluff, Mushroom Rock and Rainbow Valley, Pot Alley, Eagle Gorge, Shellhouse and Grandstand, Island Rock and the significant Natural Bridge and Castle Cove.
